I am learning to enjoy cooking for my sweet family of four. Those recipes that actually turn out edible, I am posting here as proof that sometimes things really are foolproof.

Homemade Dinner Rolls

What You'll Need:
2 cups lukewarm water
2 pkgs dry yeast
1 egg
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cups oil
7 cups flour

Let's Get Cookin':
Pour all but 1/2 cup of water into a large bowl.

In the remaining 1/2 cup of water, add yeast and stir to dissolve.

Add egg, salt, sugar, and oil to the water in the large bowl. Stir with a wooden spoon.

Add in yeast water and stir.

Add in 3 cups of flour and mix.

Add 2 more cups of flour and mix.

Add more flour until the mixture is no longer wet but not overly dry mixing well.

Place bread on a floured surface and knead dusting with flour until bread is workable.

Knead for about 3 minutes. Rinse out bowl and pour enough olive oil (or whatever oil you want) on the inside to prevent the dough from sticking. Return dough to bowl. Cover with towel, place in warm area, and allow to rise twice in size - usually about 2 hours.

Punch down dough and pinch off sections about the size of a large egg to make into rolls on a pan that has been oiled to prevent sticking. Let rise twice in size with it again covered with a towel - about 2 hours.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes about 3 dozen rolls.
